Tests

Tests appear on a separate page after every 5 lessons. Quarterly tests are located in the same location, after 6 weeks of normal tests.

Most students should be able to complete a weekly test in 10-15 minutes. We assess the students’ progress at mastering concepts that were introduced in recent weeks. We do not test students on concepts they’ve just learned in the week immediately prior to the test.

Weekly tests are presented vertically on the Lesson Sheet. Students work out their answers and write them in as required. Weekly tests are on the front side of the page only; the back is used for “Create A Problem” activities.

Quarterly tests are set up to assist your students in preparing for standardized testing. Quarterly tests have questions on both sides of the page. Students work out the answers, then circle the correct choice next to their work, and transfer that answer to the bubble-in space on the right-hand side of the page. You may choose to omit the bubble-in process if you prefer.
